Vinoklet Winery Art & Wine Festival Emerging Artist Poster Competition 2021
Vinoklet hosts an Annual Art and Wine Festival each year and this year we are going to have a special contest to create the poster and become the official 2021 festival graphic.

BACKGROUND
Vinoklet Winery is the only working winery in Hamilton County with 12 award-winning locally produced wines. The Art & Wine Festival is a three-day annual event that attracts several thousands of visitors each day from the Greater Cincinnati area and beyond.
Festival activities include live musical performances, an arts and crafts fair featuring up to 50-60 regional artists, a competitive grape-stomping contests, food, wine, and much more!
The competition is intended to highlight the talent of emerging local artists. The winning submission will be the official 2021 festival graphic and should convey a fresh and exciting relationship between art (visual and/or musical) and wine (grapes or related graphics such as wine, bottles, barrels, etc.). The winning submission will provide the artist citywide exposure through Vinoklet Winery’s marketing campaign, including but not limited to, advertisements, promotional postcards, social media, and outdoor signage throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT CHECKLIST
· Only one entry per person.
· Select any media (e.g. pastels, oils, gouache, full-color photos, prints, etc.).
· The poster must have a vertical layout.
· Poster must contain the Vinoklet Winery logo (provided) and the following words:

· The entry must be submitted digitally to vinokletwines@fuse.net in two (2) formats as follows:
A pdf file (12” x 18”) in CMYK mode / 300 dpi resolution
A jpeg file (500 px x 750 px) in RBG mode / 150 dpi resolution
File to be named as follows: “2021_Name_Surname_Your Email Address_Telephone Number_01.pdf” (for example, Jane Smith would submit
“2021_Jane_Smith_jsmith@domain.com_5135551234_01.pdf” and “2021_Jane_Smith_jsmith@domain.com_5135551234_01.jpg”).
· Winning applicant will be asked to adapt the visual to an additional postcard-sized pdf (3” x 5”) for print within 2 weeks of the winning announcement.
OFFICIAL RULES OF THE COMPETITION
Before participating, you must read the terms and conditions. By submitting your design, you agree to comply with the following:
Application is free.
Employees of Vinoklet Winery, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, suppliers, vendors and/or service providers, and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household are not eligible.
Copyrighted Images/Subjects: Copyrighted, trademarked products, packaging, brand names and advertisements may not be used within the poster. By submitting any content to the competition, participants hereby warrant that the submitted materials do not and shall not infringe on any copyright or other right of any third party. If a copyright infringement is discovered, the applicant will be held liable.
Participants retain ownership of materials submitted to the competition. However, by submitting any poster to the competition, participants hereby grant Vinoklet Winery an irrevocable, perpetual and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works for commercial purposes, modify, publish, and otherwise make use of the submitted poster in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created for any purpose. Where practicable, the poster will be attributed to the author.
All entries will be reviewed by the Vinoklet Winery Marketing Committee and a panel of judges (TBD) in a blind-adjudicated process.
The competition will be judged on the following criteria (40 points maximum):
a. Marketability of poster - 10 points.
b. Creative and original artwork and idea - 10 points.
c. Attractiveness in terms of design and neatness of layout, readability - 10 points.
d. Overall Impact, and poster theme - 10 points.
7. The winner will receive a $500 prize.
8. Vinoklet Winery’s Marketing Committee reserves the right to alter the final poster
design or to reject all submission.
9. Deadline for submission is June 15, 2021 at 11:59 PM.
