Kreso Mikulic is 91 years young, born the 8th but the sixth living child out of 11. A native of the Medjugorje region of Bosnia, a master carpenter, aerospace engineer, five-time national champion of Croatia, medalist at two European championships, three-time Olympian, patent holder to the B-1 bomber, Alpine skier, engineer on the Blackhawk helicopter, a Master Winemaker and Father of three.

In 1980, Mr. Mikulic purchased an abandoned dairy farm in Cincinnati. Six years later, after a lot of vision, determination and planting grape vines one by one, lovingly, over 30 acres of land, his dream came to fruition when he opened the first post-prohibition vineyard in Hamilton County.  Today, Vinoklet Winery & Restaurant is the only working winery in Hamilton County, Cincinnati, Ohio. Vinoklet is also home to 12 award-winning wines.

Kreso is a fascinating man with a heavy Croatian accent, so quiet, yet when observing him, you can see the wheels in motion behind his massive mustache. His story is told in his words, one by one, in the pages of this book.
