Kreso Mikulic is 91 years young, born the 8th child of 11, one of six to live to adulthood. A native of the Medjugorje region of Bosnia, a master carpenter, aerospace engineer, five-time national champion of Croatia, medalist at two European championships, three-time Olympian, patent holder to the B-1 bomber, Alpine skier, engineer on the Blackhawk helicopter, a Master Winemaker and Father of three.

Mr. Mikulic purchased a dilapidated farm in Cincinnati in 1980. Six years later, after a lot of vision, determination and planting grape vines one by one, lovingly, over 30 acres of land, his dream came to fruition. Today, Vinoklet Winery & Restaurant is the only working winery in Hamilton County, Cincinnati, Ohio. Vinoklet is also home to 12 award-winning wines.

 

Kreso is a fascinating man with a heavy Croatian accent, so quiet, yet when observing him, you can see the wheels in motion behind his massive mustache.
