For More Information About Anna & the Band See Below

ANNA MODERWELL - Lead Vocals, Guitar, Percussion, SaxAnna, a native of Cincinnati, grew up in a home filled the sounds of Nancy Griffith, Bonnie Raitt, and the Rolling Stones. As a child, she loved putting on shows for her family and continued her love of performance in high school musicals. When she was just 15, she started playing local coffee shops and open mics with her dad. As she grew as a musician, she began to write her own music. She continues to write and perform her original music, drawing inspiration from her husband, sweet children Juniper & Moses .

MILOVAN BELJIN - Guitar, Porchboard, Harmonica, Banjo

Dr. Milovan Beljin emigrated from Serbia (the former Yugoslavia) after receiving a Fulbright Scholarship to study in the United States. As a child, he began playing guitar by mimicking blues greats like Doc Watson, Muddy Waters, and Robert Johnson. Today Dr. Beljin works as a consultant specializing in groundwater but his first love will always be fingerpickin’ some blues on the old guitar.

LUKE MODERWELL- bass

Luke spent his formative years listening to and playing music in the northside of Chicago. His dad raised him on a steady diet of funk, soul, rock, electronica, jazz, gospel and angsty 90’s grunge which might explain his affinity for the band’s varied song selection. By day he works for a small web agency designing software but his true passion is playing games with his daughter Juniper & son Moses .
